Balfor Continental 480 Special
With a cutting diameter of 48cm and a splitting force of 22 tons, the Continental 480 Special puts full control into the operator’s hands via a single joystick.
All functions are managed through the joystick, reducing user fatigue and giving the operator complete fingertip control for straightforward, efficient use.
A log infeed conveyor belt feeds timber in, where log grips secure it while the high-speed hydraulic chainsaw cuts it to the chosen length. Support arms hold the log during cutting before releasing it into the splitting chamber.
Hydraulic ports for connecting a log deck or loading deck are included as standard.
The Continental 480 firewood processor is offered in tractor PTO and 3-phase electric versions; the PTO variant requires just 50 HP to operate.
Knife options, log loaders, and log decks are also available.
