MDE Koala 150

Don’t let its compact size fool you – the Koala 150 is a remarkably capable shear. The K150 suits the utilities sector perfectly, and is equally well suited to forestry thinning applications. At just 104kg, it pairs well with small excavators, yet still delivers an impressive cutting diameter of 6″/ 150mm.

Central to the Koala Tree Shear design is a replaceable blade, ensuring the unit remains operational even after extreme use. The bolt on hitch is another standout feature, making it straightforward to transfer the tree shear between excavators. That same bolt on hitch extends compatibility further, enabling use on machines including telehandlers, skid steers, and cranes.

The Koala 150 tree shear punches well above its weight. Designed for smaller-scale work where smaller trees require removal, the 150 clamps firmly around the trunk before the hydraulic ram drives the cutting edge through it.
