MDE S1600

Robust, Well Designed, and Easily Controlled

The Scorpion S1600 Excavator Grab holds the distinction of being the original model in the Scorpion range. Built around a heavy-duty Hardox® chassis and fitted with 30mm Hardox® teeth, the Scorpion S1600 offers exceptional structural integrity. Two massive hydraulic cylinders ensure clamping force is never a concern, and an impressive 1390mm jaw opening width makes it straightforward to grip boulders or stumps and clear them with ease. This Scorpion suits applications such as ripping through forestry roots, extracting boulders, and loading materials.

Purposefully engineered with a heavy chassis, this model ranks among the most heavy duty excavator grabs available, with a weight of 1487kg. That substantial construction delivers greater strength, resilience, and robustness than competing products in the same market category. Operation and set-up are straightforward – simply connect the grab to the excavator’s hammer lines to gain full control over the Scorpion’s powerful hydraulic cylinders.

As with all MDE Scorpions, the Scorpion S1600 Excavator Grab features a Hardox® chassis and Hardox® teeth, alongside two powerful hydraulic cylinders. A defining characteristic of the Scorpion design is that one side of the grapple remains in a fixed position, enabling the excavator operator to use it in the manner of a bucket whilst clamping with the opposing grapple. The bolt-on hitch provides another notable advantage, making it possible to transfer the Excavator Grab between different Excavators.
