The Original Koala Design
Introduced in 2014, the Koala 400 holds the distinction of being “THE ORIGINAL” model within the Koala range – the first of the Koala family. Its 15mm Hardox® chassis and 40mm Hardox® arm form the foundation of a machine that has evolved considerably since launch. With a biting force exceeding 3 times that of the K200, power is never a concern with the K400.
At 758kg, the K400 ranks among the most heavy-duty tree shears available on the market. The substantial chassis delivers strength, resilience, and robustness that surpasses anything else in its market category. Operation is straightforward – connect the tree shear to the excavator’s hammer lines and you gain full control over the powerful hydraulic ram.
Among the standout features of the Koala Tree Shear design is a replaceable blade, ensuring continued performance even after extreme use. The bolt-on hitch adds further versatility, making it easy to transfer the Tree Shear between excavators. This same bolt-on hitch also enables compatibility with other machines, including telehandlers, skid steers, and cranes.
